Yashoda has more than 15 years of experience in field of Neuropsychology. She has done her Masters in Clinical Psychology. She found her niche in the field of Epilepsy Research. She is actively working as a director and founder of NGO, Sanvedana foundation, an epilepsy self-help support group. To provide long standing support for people suffering from epilepsy and to spread the scientific awareness, to provide psychological, social support, marriage bureau were few activities that regularly conducted by this NGO.
She has received following awards in the field,
- Outstanding person with epilepsy in Asian and Oceanian countries, by International Bureau of Epilepsy. Award ceremony was held at Manila, Philippines, in 2012.
- H.C. Bajoria Oration by Indian Epilepsy Association and Indian Epilepsy Society, in 2016
